The ILR school promotes greater knowledge and expertise in
industrial and labor relations through academic programs, research,
extension courses, conferences, and publications.

The Institute provides the supplementary analysis and research necessary to expose the inequities of compulsory unionism.
The NLRB is an independent Federal agency created in 1935 to
enforce the National Labor Relations Act. We conduct secret-ballot
elections to determine whether employees want union representation
and we investigate and remedy unfair labor practices by employers
and unions.
Enhancing the stature of the Federal labor-management relations
program and its professionals, providing a forum for discussion of
issues of interest to Federal labor-management relations
practicioners and increasing the understanding and visibility of
Federal labor-management relations
