almost 1600 manufacturing resources. EEVL if a free, non-profit
making service and is funded by the Join Information Systems
Committee (JISC) on behalf of the UK.
The Institution of Electrical Engineers represents the public,
professional and educational interest of over 140,000 electrical,
electronic and manufacturing engineers world-wide. Key activities
include publishing, the organisation of conferences, the maintenance
of technical standards, interaction with government departments and
the provision of scientific and technical information services.
A cooperative project to produce an integrated suite of R&D
plans to help guide the nation's manufacturing technology
investments to meet these challenges.
SME, headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan, U.S.A., is an
international professional society dedicated to serving its members
and the manufacturing community through the advancement of
professionalism, knowledge, and learning. Founded in 1932, SME has
nearly 65,000 members in 70 countries. The society also sponsors
some 275 chapters, districts, and regions, as well as 240 student
chapters worldwide.
